Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the KnowStock Android app and web dashboard (together, the “Service”), operated by Asquarete (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service in trial mode, you agree to these Terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to do so.

1. The Service

KnowStock provides inventory, billing and GST-invoicing software for retail shops. You can try core features (camera scanning, billing) offline without an account; creating an account (“claiming” your trial) uploads that local data to your business's tenant on our servers and unlocks sync, multi-device access, and paid-tier features.

2. Accounts & plans

KnowStock is offered on the free Counter plan and paid Growth, Pro and RFID Pro plans, each with its own limits on locations, users and products (SKUs), as described on our pricing page at the time of purchase. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, for keeping your login credentials confidential, and for all activity carried out by staff accounts you create under your tenant.

3. Billing, renewals & refunds

Paid plans are prepaid, fixed-term plans that you buy on the KnowStock website for the term shown at checkout (plus applicable GST). Each purchase is a one-time payment; we never charge your card, UPI or bank account automatically. Checkout, card/UPI/net-banking processing and receipts for payment are handled by Razorpay; we do not store your card details. Purchases are made on the website only, not inside the Android app.

Renewal is a new, manual purchase that you make before or after your plan ends. Optional SKU add-on packs follow your plan and end when it ends. If your plan expires and is not renewed, your account has a 7-day grace period and then becomes read-only: you can still sign in, view your records and export your data, but you cannot create or change records until you renew. We do not delete your data for non-payment, and data export is always available.

Because KnowStock is prepaid software access that grants immediate access to paid features, payments are generally non-refundable once a plan term has started, except where required by law or where we are unable to provide the Service due to a fault on our part. Refund requests are reviewed case by case — contact admin@asquaretech.co.in. Because plans are prepaid and never renew automatically, there is nothing to cancel: if you do not buy another term, your plan simply ends at the end of the term you paid for.

4. Your data

You own the business, product, sale and customer data you enter into KnowStock. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and store your customers' data (including any optical prescription details you choose to record), and for complying with applicable law in how you use the Service. 5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to store or process data you do not have the right to collect, to attempt to breach tenant isolation or access another business's data, to reverse-engineer or resell the Service without our written consent, or to use the anonymous telemetry endpoint or any API in a way designed to circumvent rate limits or abuse the Service.

6. Availability

The app is designed to work offline for core scanning and billing, syncing when you are back online. We aim for high availability of the sync and web dashboard services but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may perform maintenance that temporarily affects the Service.

7. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, KnowStock is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses (including lost profits or lost data) arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a security or legal risk to the Service or other users, with notice where practicable.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the effective date above when we do, and for material changes we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
